Cheers. I'm glad that I could be part of making you and many other steeminas aware of this tweet blast @llfarms and helped to get everyone informed about the chance to promote steem for listing on coinbase ASAP.

The reason why you know about this is not because of Dan's post but because I made a post at 6am this morning that Dan saw and recreated to point the community towards the marketing drive that I'd already started. Check out the post :-) It was ignored by half of the people who voted and commented on Dan's post.

Are you upset that I thanked him for the post he made? Or that you aren’t getting credit for also seeing a public tweet and helping to get the word out? I find your response here quite “Dick-ish” if I’m honest.

I know about this call for the community because of the post I commented on.. and the goal is to promote Steem not toot your own horn.

I’m glad you made a post as well, I didn’t see that one.. but I DID see this one. It’s a good thing when many people from the community call for help to make something happen as then it reaches more people.

Looks like your post got some decent votes too.. and I already found the information here that was needed so I will choose to continue to, as you say “ignore”, your post as I don’t like your reply here and find your attitude is quite strange.

I assume the others here also did not “ignore” yours, they just happened to see Dan’s.

Why don’t you take a step back and see the big picture here, which is the goal to get the word out about Steem.

Cheers

Oh yeah and I think you earned this...

Justine, there is nothing dickish about my response.

You are one of the people I tagged into my marketing post because I respect both you as a person and your position on the platform. I hoped that you, and many other prominent people that I tagged, might respond to what I had pointed out. I don't write many steem promotional posts but this was something I spotted and thought; hey here's a tweet people haven't noticed (no one had commented about steem on that tweet at the time), maybe I can encourage everyone to band together to promote us for a listing on coinbase, and I did rally some people to comment. But the people who responded to that post were all people who were aready active on twitter and most of them in the Seven77 #steem promotional movement. I think it was 3 or 4 people who responded out of the 42 people I tagged (please go and look at the post) - all prominent steemians who have high stake and should have an interest in increasing steem's prominence and value for their investment.

I’m glad you made a post as well, I didn’t see that one.. but I DID see this one. It’s a good thing when many people from the community call for help to make something happen as then it reaches more people.

It is great that Dan's post has encouraged more people to go and comment but that does not take away from the fact that many people I tagged, didn't want to waste their time on my post, or they ignore their gina bot, regardless of the fact it contained information that was beneficial to all of us on steem.

You accuse me of worrying about credit. I am worried about how people conduct themselves on this platform. Is this information and promotion more important because Dan has put it across in his post? The answer is no! That is to do with reputation and how people who are high stake holders undervalue the efforts of people with less SP.

Why don’t you take a step back and see the big picture here, which is the goal to get the word out about Steem.

I see the bigger picture or I wouldn't spend 2-3 hours every day
'above and beyond' creating content on steem promoting our blockchain on twitter.

Looks like your post got some decent votes too.. and I already found the information here that was needed so I will choose to continue to, as you say “ignore”, your post as I don’t like your reply here and find your attitude is quite strange.

Nothing to do with votes Justine, it is to do with a stupid hierarchy on steem where people are expected to devalue their contribution based on reputation and steem power.

The simple fact is that I noticed an opportunity, put time and effort into writing a decent post, with video explanation and 90% of the upper class of steem (that I tagged) didn't bother to look at it.

The fact that many people I tagged, legitimately into my post are here on Dan's post only proves my point.

I've got to make this clear right now. I'm not attacking you, and I'm not attacking Dan. I just know that you are one of the people in this comment section who has influence on this platform. I have nothing to prove and nothing to loose. I've been on steem working just as hard as everyone else for 20 months now. If we get listed everyone will benefit, but I'd like to be part of the conversation that I started in this instance. Or, if doesn't happen I'll end up laughing at everything I've wrote here as much as anyone else would.

I hope this clears things up.

I’m not tagged in your post. If I was, and by chance I did get the notification from Gina (in between all the spam and flags) I would have responded. I did not ignore it, as I’m not there;

01757192-7445-446A-9A2D-F83938D35F41.jpeg

I just happened to peek into a chat room that shared Dan’s post at that moment and went to use twitter, as the only reason I signed up for it was to promote Steem.

I understand being frustrated and feeling that your post was ignored, all I can say is that I didn’t ignore it.. as I didn’t even see it and was not tagged in it.

So your response to my comment here felt very much like an attack on not only me but Dan who was just trying to help get the word out. If that wasn’t your intention, great.. glad that is cleared up.

I've just checked and you're quite right, you're not tagged in my post. I did tag you in my first edit before I published.... But none of that matters as it didn't end up in there when I hit post. In regards to me arguing that you'd ignored my post, I apologize, you're right, again I apologize I honestly thought I'd tagged you in next to soyrosa, anomadsoul, abh1234 and a few others I'd meet at steemfest. If it felt like a personal attack, I understand.

I think part of why I'm pissed, and feel justified in why I'm pissed, is that I shared my post widely in all discord communities this morning. I wrote a paragraph explaining what the post was about, and as I said, I tagged many prominent people whose promotion and support could have spread this all over steem. But due to my lack of SP and (arbitrary as I've rarely bought votes) reputation, it was ignored. Now, someone with Rep, and more importantly large stake of SP, posts the same information and nearly everyone I tagged has turned up.

The point I made about quality of post and importance of message being ignored based on SP and rep bares relavence. My post was not resteemed by Dan or many of the other people I tagged. My post was ignored by most of the people who I tagged, but they are here on this post showing support. I'm not sure what incentive this gives me, or anyone else who hasn't leveraged themselves an ally with high SP, to continue providing their marketing experience to promote steem Blockchain. The thing is, I know what I've done in the past in my career in marketing, and I will not undervalue myself or my efforts. But if they are undervalued on steem over and over, then what is the point. Because the efforts I make are just as valuable as anyone elses, regardless of what community affiliations, or whale friends I do or don't have. But value is all skewed on steem, both with content and behind the scenes activities. Stake trump's everything.

There are people in this universe that stay away from the discord as much as they can and have no idea what
"they ignore their gina bot" really means ;-)
I saw your post and upvoted it, however, I did not write any comment there simply because I never had a twitter account.

Hi @gtg

Thanks, I did notice your vote and I appreciate the support. Honestly though, the crux of what I'm saying in these comments isn't untrue or unreasonable. There were two people who I tagged who took any notice of my post, yourself and lukestokes.

All others ignored it. Without naming names, many of them are on discord daily, many of them run discord community's. Some of them are here on Dan's post, whereas they didn't come near mine.

Is this because I'm a relatively unimportant dolphin? Is it because Dan is a whale? Despite steem power there are similarities between what we're both trying to do. We both promote steem on twitter. We're both tweeting crypto people on there every day and doing the Seven77 challenge to spread awareness about steem. The information that I put in my post, and Dan has also shared here on his post, is important for those steemians on twitter as it's an opportunity to further steem for little effort.

As I said in my comments to llfarms, there is a problem on this platform with people ignoring others for no reason other than SP. If you look at facts in regards to myself; I've been on steem nearly 2 years, worked in multiple discord communities and helped build a successful charity initiative last summer. By any other 'real world' criteria it might be expected that these activities might deserve some notice. But here on steem, especially as I've been unable to do much recently on discord, my post goes overlooked. Or maybe as I said before it's simply because I have just shy of 4000 SP (I've never taken any money out of steem apart from £60 worth to pay for my flight to steemfest 3).

This is not about Dan's post, or any type of attack on him. His post is awesome in what it has achieved. He's got at least double the people to tweet than I have so far. I thanked Dan (I think the comment is near the bottom) for doing this post before I even got started on this comment thread.

I think I've articulated the crux of why all this upset me. I came on steem ages ago to write travel articles and creative writing (poetry & fiction) but I find myself increasingly spending a lot of time in marketing efforts which if they have the impact we all hope they do, will increase everyone's investment.

This isn't the first time I've created steem related content, despite it not being what I want to write. I do it for the betterment of steem. I used to work in marketing which I left because I couldn't stomach some of the things I was expected to do. But I'll happily put time & effort into marketing steem because I think the underlying concept of proof of brain and this Blockchain community could change the world.

I don't feel unjustified in being disappointed that only a few of those I tagged promoted it for what it was; a decent marketing initiative that encouraged a potential listing on coinbase.

Thanks again for your support on my post @gtg. I've only wrote such a long comment because wanted to articulate clearly why I see this whole thing as indicative of deeper problems with steem. Do we really work on proof of Brain? Or is it proof of SP/Rep?

P.s. cudos on having no twitter account. I don't go near my Facebook anymore and am even considering deleting it. Hopefully one day whatever replaces twitter will run on the steem Blockchain. I'd get behind that as long as I could block steemtweets and only see articles, art, stories, poems and videos 😉

I have less SP than you, never have had major delegation and didnt buy my rep or cashed out. But here you are responding to my comment upset that I didn’t come and acknowledge your post. Mentioning your account size as the reason.

Everyone here has the same chance to be successful, everyone.

There are many people on your post that supported you, your complaints are not fair or valid. Sorry, but they aren’t.

This is a stake weighted platform, everyone has a say.. but those holding stake have more of a “say” sometimes. Doesn’t mean your voice can’t be heard.. I feel my voice is heard quite well, even as a small dolphin. If you don’t think stake should be an important factor here, you are on the wrong platform.

Many high stake individuals here are completely ignored, as they offer nothing.

Dan has a following not only due to his stake, but what he does with it (and was doing before it). He hustles, he supports others, he’s positive and always working to try to rally this platform.

Proof of brain is not as strong here as it should be, but there are people like myself that work everyday to try to ensure proof of brain continues.

Your complaint is that enough people aren’t responding to your content, then change your content. Don’t blame others who get a response for theirs.

Wanna work on marketing but feel you aren’t getting noticed? Then get a group going and rally for support. Complaining that it’s all not fair is not going to get the response you want.. be the change you want to see.

If you don’t like something, work to fix it.

Not sure if you know this but there is a whole community foundation being organized to help with exactly this. To allow anyone from the community to come forward to try to get support for a project they feel would benefit Steem (including marketing). To be the voice of the community.. so they will be heard.

Funny enough that foundation is being completely ignored by most of the community. Makes me think people just want to complain and not actually be a part of the solution.

You can be disappointed all you want, I’m disappointed on Steem daily. But you get to choose to complain on someone else’s post (who was only trying to get the word out about Steem) or you can actually do something different and make a change.

I think these complaints of yours are poorly placed and if I’m honest, not justified.

There are plenty of issues with Steem, “it’s all not fair” is not one of them in my opinion. You are in control of what you do here, no one else. And we all have a equal chance here.

Well, I'm going to try to keep this as short as I can as I can't be bothered with much more of this drama (which to be fair, I started).

You talk about SP and how your voice is heard regardless of your stake or status (minnow/dolphin/whale etc). But you are both supported and heard because you have worked to get yourself in a position where you are moderating in witness chat, or state of steem or whatever gathering of 'the great and the good' it may be. You also have worked hard building community and in curie (I also did both of these things on discord a lot more in the year between autumn 2017 & autumn 2018). I know that what people do to build (or bring worth) to the steem blockchain can bring them support and success. You have found allies and those allies support you, this is how steem works to an extent. Unless you've got a big bag of steem, then the rules are yours to make up.

But here you are responding to my comment upset that I didn’t come and acknowledge your post. Mentioning your account size as the reason.

I've already apologized for stating that you ignored my post as I really did think I had included tagging you in the final edit, as I explained in my last comment. My main issue was to do with the fact that out of the people I did tag it seems like only 3 or 4 of them read it. Gtg, lukestokes, pennsif and nathanmars. These people voted it anyway which I assume means they read it, and I appreciate them taking the time. But the other 40 didn't read it, or more probably even glance at the notification if they had one. But lets move this away from you, or me for that matter.

Dan has a following not only due to his stake, but what he does with it (and was doing before it). He hustles, he supports others, he’s positive and always working to try to rally this platform.

You don't need to tell me any of this. I have a lot of respect for Dan and as I've already said previously I have thanked him in a comment on this post. And I have also made meaningful comments on many other posts of his after listening to his opinions and ideas. I drop the screens below because it seems to me like you might have been reading Machiavelli and are trying some type of political maneuver to tar me with a brush I do not deserve. I've stated in many comments that Dan impresses me over and over again for one simple fact. He is the only whale I've seen on steem (there may be others I haven't noticed) who manually curates not based on community affiliation, or who wrote the post, or what work someone has been doing for them on discord, but on the quality of the post. Both on twitter and on steem he has weekly 'drop a post' sections where he rewards good content for no other reason than he seems to be a fair minded guy and has the vision to see that our platform will only grow and flourish with this type of involvement from the high stake holders. The post on steem is all about rewarding the best post you've seen (generally understood it is another persons post) and the one on twitter is an opportunity to drop your own work. Again, please do not try to tar me with the brush that I'm in some way not a fan of his. In my comment to you, however abrupt I simply stated a fact. That I had written a promotional post yesterday morning and made a tweet on Brian Armstrong's tweet and then alerted everyone who hustles on twitter to both my post and the tweet. One thing I am not is an ass kisser but the two comments below are genuine from the heart:

Screenshot (377).png
Link to Tweet

Screenshot (379).png
Link to 20000 SP delegation Post

I have made many more similar comments to Dan both on steem and twitter but I'm not going to say any more about that. I hope you read the screens, I'm pretty sure Dan will have read those comments and that is my opinion of him. The guy is a legend, credit where credit is due! Which brings me on to my next point.

Wanna work on marketing but feel you aren’t getting noticed? Then get a group going and rally for support. Complaining that it’s all not fair is not going to get the response you want.. be the change you want to see.

Have you been on twitter? Do you care about the marketing that has been going on there? Are you aware of who is involved in that marketing? No. Why would you. Do not lecture me about putting in work when you haven't even bothered to check what I (and over 50 other people active daily) are doing to better this platform from a marketing perspective. It beggars belief that you have the nerve to take this tone as this whole comment thread has started because of one thing I said:

I'm glad that I could be part of making you and many other steeminas aware of this tweet blast @llfarms and helped to get everyone informed about the chance to promote steem for listing on coinbase ASAP. The reason why you know about this is not because of Dan's post but because I made a post at 6am this morning that Dan saw and recreated to point the community towards the marketing drive that I'd already started.

That might be a bit confrontational, but it is still true. I made that post as part of my daily work that I do to promote steem. Btw I didn't know about the community foundation as I miss out on so many things on discord as I am working hard elsewhere.

You tell me above in a very condescending way what I need to be doing llfarms. I have seen you trying to shoot other people down in other comments threads like this and you seem to labor under some type of delusion that you are giving your child a telling off. Your arguments are strangely tangled up in that at one point you are telling me to do something that I have been trying to do by raising this issue in conversation.

But you get to choose to complain on someone else’s post (who was only trying to get the word out about Steem) or you can actually do something different and make a change.

How is me making a post that pointed the first wave of tweeters to Brian Armstrong's tweet not me trying to make a change? Further to this, as I've already stated in previous comments in this thread, I am glad Dan made this post. Further to this again, I've actually advised everyone who visited my post to come here and be part of Dans post as well. So, I am completely prepared to point people to another persons post who is promoting this marketing activity and in fact it didn't even register as a choice it was just the right thing to do. I'm not sure why my repeated decent behavior in the way I conduct myself on steem singles me out as abnormal? If you want to try and label me a moaner, or a complainer that is fine (wrong but that is your prerogative) but if you look at all the things I've said here and go and check them out you will see that I've behaved with integrity and have done everything I can to not only promote my message about the tweet blast, but other peoples as well.

There are plenty of issues with Steem, “it’s all not fair” is not one of them in my opinion. You are in control of what you do here, no one else. And we all have a equal chance here.

I've seen you say this over and over again on other comment threads, in chat rooms, I think you might have said something similar in the witness chat I attended. If this is the excuse you need to tell yourself to get by, that is fine but I prefer to live in the real world. What is fair about the biggest drain on the rewards pool coming from bidbots, whale circle jerks and other forms of stake gaming. If you were to say to me, "it is what it is. Not fair, but that is just reality, deal with it." Then I would laugh and agree but your statement

You are in control of what you do here, no one else. And we all have a equal chance here.

I get that this may have been your experience of steem but that does not mean it has been everyone's. It is only half true in any case, 'you are in control of what you do here' absolutely right. 'And we all have a equal chance here' complete hogwash. If you speak out against certain things or people on steem you can have your account destroyed in a matter of weeks. Regardless of the fact that those things are detrimental to everyone's stake. Is that an equal chance? What exactly is equal about tyranny by consensus?

If you are autistic and are incapable of functioning in a normal manner in regards to social interaction will you have an equal chance here? Nope. There was an autistic musician on steem about 13 months ago who was very talented. He lasted 10 weeks if memory serves. He only lasted that long because of curie. I remember trying to help him via email teaching him about discord but he was completely incapable of that level of social intelligence. Anyway, extreme example but the idea that everyone has an equal chance on steem is simply wrong.

Anyway, it's been a lively exchange. I hope someone made some steem from the dramacoin that has been flying about ;-)

Oh you mean how I spoke out about your friend kawaiicrush and now have constant spam and flags? I am very aware that speaking out here has consequences, as does everything in life.. you still have the option to do it or not.

I have not tar and feathered you at all, in fact I think it’s quite the opposite. You came in completely misinformed about your own actions and tried to make a statement.. about how unfair stake is here. While calling me out about something I didn’t even do.

So yes, fair enough you made a mistake.. but then why are you still replying here? Why are you addressing any of this to me? What part do I have in this other than seeing a post and making a tweet?

As far as the rest of your opinions of me here, you can think what you want. I have many times stated that things need to be improved here and actually then work hard to try to help make improvements happen. I have also stated that I feel the constant complaint about it all being “unfair”’is mostly by individuals who are willfully ignorant to how the Steem ecosystem works. Is that a bit harsh? Maybe.

Many here don’t want to be a part of anything to improve Steem, they just want to collect their rewards they feel they are due and complain about how things work. If my tone is certain conversations has left a bad taste in your mouth, I apologize. I’m not a fan of those who feel the world owes them something, which seems to be abundant here.

I’ve seen the twitter campaign, and as I said.. if you want to do marketing, do so. Hopefully the foundation (which is on chain) will help individuals be able to have more reach with marketing campaigns like that in the future. I’m trying to help make that happen, not for my own benefit, but for the Steem platform.

We have a retention problem, which could be solved through developing tools to help new users.. this was part of the reasoning behind community funding things like the Steem DAO as well as the foundation. Which many individuals, including yourself, cried fowl over. We can’t develop tools to improve the place if we can’t fund them sustainably.

So again, I agree things need to improve here.. but I don’t think that is caused by individuals who have stake. And yes we do have an equal chance here.. I started with nothing and now here I am being accused of not using my “standing” the way you think I should. You can build stake without being rich and you can have a say without stake.. but we are on a DPOS system and it might not be for everyone I guess.

Back to the whole point here. Why are you even singling me out here? I saw a post, made a comment and made a tweet. Your complaints have nothing to do with me and quite frankly I don’t even think they are relevant to this post or the situation at hand. Maybe you should make a post about it and offer some reasonable solutions, I’d love to read it.

Llfarms you have spent a good 80% of this comment lecturing me again about how I should view things, without really addressing much of what I said in my last comment. I took the time to go through what you said to me, break it down, and respond to each of your points. I'm not here to be told how to think and I don't respond well to it. That's why that last comment was written with a different tone. I have seen you in many other comment threads carefully paint a picture of the person you're responding to which does not reflect the whole truth. So if I'm quick to point out that your stance that I was somehow denigrating Dan's promotional post was wrong, it was because I wanted anyone else reading this to understand that what you insinuated was not true. Hence the screenshots.

I’m not a fan of those who feel the world owes them something, which seems to be abundant here.

I'm also not a fan of that attitude. You seem to be insinuating that I am, I most definitely am not. People should get back what they put in but that does not happen on steem. You can tell yourself it does until your blue in the face but that's doesn't mean it is true. It may be true in your experience.

I'm also not a fan of how much disrespect there is on steem for the thing that comprises what we see when we open our feed; content. Also, stake is king here as two people can do exactly the same work bringing the same level of expertise and the one with stake will get more highly rewarded. This feeds into retention big time as it is why a huge amount of good content creators leave.

We have a retention problem, which could be solved through developing tools to help new users.. this was part of the reasoning behind community funding things like the Steem DAO.

As I stated above the retention problems will not be solved by giving people tools to understand steem if what they learn is that they will not get rewarded for their work, only for doing what people with stake want them to do. This is not an attractive alternative to just going and working in an office. At least in an office you'd be sure of how much the pay check was. The USP of steem is to get rewarded for content and community interaction. You talked about content in your last comment, I no longer write long structured articles on steem. Like the travel articles I used to, or more creative pieces like that reflective poetry/blog peice inspired by the trip to auschwitz. I've taught myself video editing just to chase the DTube vote. This is insane that steem has come to this, where people have to take their professional content elsewhere to sell it to websites etc. Again this cones down to choice, and I make my choice to do that because I need to pay the rent, but it doesn't take away from the fact that people of a certain level of content creation will not be retained unless the system reflects what we market it to be.

Steem DOE - if you mean the workers proposal system, people like me and many other concerned people were needed to provide a counterpoint to what it seemed was being pushed forward. Taking funds from author rewards (I know it wouldn't have only been author rewards) to pay for certain types of work (coding/dev/marketing work). Why couldn't steemit.inc stake and other whale stake pay for these types of work through their votes? Most of them are more interested in delegating it to vote buying services for passive return. I've said it loads of times before, if anyone wants to look as to where a huge drain of value is leaving steem it is vote buying services. I've a bucket of possible solutions to the problems I see on steem but ya know what, the people draining the system and creating a fake economic modal have huge SP so what are the chances of any of those solutions being accepted by the community. Not much, because all of their allies, who are supported by them, will side with them, despite how they really feel.

I will continue marketing in my own way because I really want to see steem succeed, I’m trying to help make that happen, not for my own benefit, but for the Steem platform.

You know what though:

Why are you addressing any of this to me? What part do I have in this other than seeing a post and making a tweet?

This is completely a fair point. I'll stop responding to this comment thread now.

Maybe you should make a post about it and offer some reasonable solutions, I’d love to read it.

I have made numerous posts in the past about the issues that hold steem back, both from a content creators perspective and a marketing perspective. I might write another one soon with some ideas for solutions. But if I write my suggestions for how we can solve certain issues, I may also have my account flagged into oblivion.

I understand the frustration, but there are some things that I need to point out:

  1. Gina bot do miss tags sometimes. I experience this on a daily basis.
  2. Not everyone has their Gina bot set up to notify them of tags.
  3. Not everyone checks on each notification of their Gina bot.

I honestly don't know their reasons for not responding to your post, but there should be no attacks towards @llfarms. On your point of being ignored because of low SP... Justine was also one of those people who had low SP. She worked hard on communities too, and I see her in every single Discord servers I'm in. Being active 24/7, helping small people navigate on steem, answering concerns from people regardless of them having high or low SP.

Just look at the first comment in the now epic string of comments hiddenblade

Check out the post :-) It was ignored by half of the people who voted and commented on Dan's post.
https://steemit.com/steem/@raj808/tweet-for-steem-to-be-listed-on-coinbase-and-vote-rewards

Why did I comment that to Justine? Simply because I'd met her at steemfest and I thought she might look at my post and think hey, he's right, he did initiate this thing, cool. And in her subsequent comment she did say great that there are other people who promoted this tweet blast. But she also called me dick-ish within the first paragraph and that kind of set the tone from my perspective.

The whole thing since then has just gone from bad to worse. But from my perspective a lot of the time i was defending myself from that initial accusations of dick-ishness.

Make of that what you will. No one has a right to consider themselves more important, or well informed, or right about anything without facts to back up what they're putting across. And I include myself in that analysis. I worked extremely hard on curie, promo-mentors, isleofwrite, whaleshares and sndbox communities before my illness escalated. I also spend a considerable amount of time now marketing steem outside of the steem ecosystem.

The point I'm making is that I know how hard she works. I also know that working hard like that will get you well deserved rewards on steem.

But this back and forth has been a two way street and I'm not some type of vilian in this scenario, attacking someone for shits and giggles. I hate trolls. I'm just someone who will allways stick by what they think is right. And won't give up in a debate if I think what I'm saying is justified.

But what Justine said at the end of her last comment is probably right, I should make a post about my concerns and thoughts about the problems with steem and some potential solutions.

I believe that will be my steem suicide post.

To the:

I’m not sure what the benefits would be, the best place for steem is surely on steemit.
Would it not be better if you could buy steem with fiat on steemit and and obviously back again when your ready. Thanks mike

In order to use Fiat you need a license, esp in the US. Coinbase already has all of that, so it would open a huge door for Steem and liquidity. But of course, more fiat on-ramps the better!

Thanks for sharing this information to a wider audience @theycallmedan

I hope my post from this morning might have helped spur the initial drive of people commenting on Brian Armstrong's tweet about listing steem on coinbase next.

I think it is important that people also spend a minutes or two while writing their tweets making a few points about why steem has utility above and beyond other Blockchain projects. This is something I explained in my post:

https://steemit.com/steem/@raj808/tweet-for-steem-to-be-listed-on-coinbase-and-vote-rewards

This type of information is what will help eliviate some of the misunderstandings that the wider crypto community have about steem. It may also help swing Brian Armstrong's opinion if he understands the multiple utility that our Blockchain offers.

Thanks for your help in this marketing push and tweet blast 🙂

SteemBet Seed round SPT sale is about to start in 2 days!

When our started the development of SteemBet Dice game, we couldn’t imagine that our game would go so viral and that SteemBet would become one of the pioneers in this field.

In order to give back to our beloved community, we’ll distribute 4000 STEEM to SPT holders immediately after Seed sale. Plus, investors in this earliest round will be given 60% more tokens as reward and overall Return on Investment is estimated at 300%!

Add Steem, please. Why? Take a look at https://www.stateofthedapps.com/rankings

Six out of the ten most used DApps in the whole space are Steem apps. And the top three are all on Steem. Steem is for web development and is the easiest pne to adopt for mainstream people. Easy for devs, too.

Hi Dan. I just wanted to share this screen of the poem/comment I sent to Brian Armstrong's tweet this morning.

Screenshot (382).png

It is inspiring what @jenina619 did creating a piece of art to tweet and it inspired me to utilize my creative talent as a poet in the same way. I also made a new post

https://steemit.com/blockchain/@raj808/poem-the-blockchain-world

where I promote what she has done and encouraging other artists and writers of steem to follow suit to really drive the message home to the coinbase team that we are a unique community blockchain with added value in the talent of the community as well as the utility of one of the fastest fee-less cryptocurrencies of any blockchain.

Anyway, thanks again for all you do for steem every day.
Cheers,
Rowan

Thanks again Jenina.

I'm becoming very hopeful now that all of our efforts might have done enough. We're only 4 comments behind the main competition at this point, I spent some time counting them all.

Fingers crossed 🤞

Absolutely.

I've got my fingers crossed and I do think that the creativity and enthusiasm of all the comments from steemians on that post trump the digibyte ones.

I've nothing against any other legit crypto project, but I read some comments saying things like 'digibyte... how long are you going to ignore us' etc. I didn't see anything but positivity from steemians comments 🙂

Hey, @theycallmedan.

Looks like, as you've been able to do before time and again, the troops are rallying. I guess I'll have to dust off my twitter account I haven't really used for roughly three years now. :)

I agree that Coinbase would be awesome. I wonder, though, how it would really affect those of us in the U.S., since we don't seem to get to be included in any of this straight to fiat stuff that other countries are allowing. It would be great, regardless, and if it did work for me, that would be totally awesome. I'm pretty much tired of the hoops, and I'm already established on Coinbase, anyway.

You will be able to sell Steem for USD directly, then cash that USD out to a crypto friendly bank. A lot of big time investors only deal with Coinbase, they buy directly from the exchange or OTC (Steem would benefit from OTC deals). And really just status, a lot of people trust you more as a crypto if you are on Coinbase, as it is a great achievement to get on there.

re: USD directly

That's awesome! Thanks for the reply.

re: trust

I've seen quite a few coins go up in the last few weeks/months, and I wonder what they have that STEEM doesn't. In my estimation, it can't be a whole lot more than PR and maybe some high end influencers. Market cap helps, I'm sure, but surely there's more to getting listed.

Is this something they'll do for free, though?

Regardless, I definitely need to fire this up on Twitter. Is there any particular coherent message we're trying to go with here? Or are we all just kind of winging it?
