Hello to all members of this community and craft lovers! A few months ago, I showed you how to make some anti-stress animals , which work like Pop-It toys or bubble wands, giving a certain feeling of "well-being" once you hear the characteristic popping sound. At first, I made them just because I thought they were cute, and guess what? I ended up selling them all during my visits to bazaars, and not only that, I later received feedback from customers, happy with their use and saying they relaxed them 😊 This encouraged me to make some new ones to offer in my online shop and they turned out so cute that I had to show them here on my blog 😌

Last time, I used scraps of fabric, but this time, I wanted to try felt. I should mention that I'd seen these kinds of pieces originally made with crochet, and they look fabulous. But, since my crochet skills are still very basic, we'll have to wait to make stress-relief animals with that type of fabric 😅 Anyway... the type of clasp or hook needed for this craft is the one shown in the photo. It's ideal because when you open or close it makes the "pop" sound we're looking for 👌

As I mentioned, the material I used this time was felt. I cut out the shape of the hook, adding a little extra for sewing, and tried to make it as similar as possible to the character; in this case, Pompompurin. I even tried to include the ears, and I cut an extra piece for his hat. I thought that would be enough to identify him.

The great thing about felt is that it doesn't fray like fabric, so you can simply use a lighter along the edges to define the shape. Before assembling the little animal or stress-relief friend, we need to add the details that will bring the character to life, such as the clothing or face, on one of the felt pieces (the main one, so to speak). It's best to simplify the character as much as possible, but it should still be recognizable. In Pompurin's case, just his little hat is enough. To secure the pieces, you can use a little cold glue, but I also prefer to sew them by hand for extra security. For the face, you can "draw" it with the same thread.

With all the details made from felt, thread, and even ribbons ready, we proceed to join both pieces with a hand seam. Before closing, we insert the hook or clasp and finish sewing. And just like that, our stress-relieving friend is finished! ✨

As you can see, it's a simple project that requires nothing more than a hook, scraps of felt, and a little imagination. I'll share photos of all the stress-relief friends I made this time so you can see how I added the details and get inspired to make your own:

I much preferred working with felt, as I feel the small details get a more polished finish. Not to mention, I wanted to make these specific characters to see how they would look as this type of product. Speaking of which, I've already shown them to friends and they asked if I had other Sanrio characters, like Kuromi, haha. Maybe I'll end up making Kuromi, Melody, Pochacco... but for now, I'll focus on other sewing projects I have lined up; at least the stress-relief friends are available again ✨

💚 As you can see in the gif, with just a little pressure, not only does the figure deform, but it also makes the peculiar sound, and when you press it again, it will make the sound and return to its original shape 💚

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de las manualidades! Hace unos meses atrás, les mostré cómo hacer unos animalitos antiestrés , los cuales cumplen la función de Pop it o de las burbujas de plástico, otorgando cierta sensación de "bienestar", una vez que se escucha el característico sonido de estallido. Al principio, los hice sólo porque me parecieron lindos y ¿Qué creen? Acabé por venderlos todos durante mis asistencia a bazares y no sólo eso, recibí luego opiniones de los clientes, contentos con su uso y afirmando que les relajaba 😊 Con ello, me animé a hacer unos nuevos para ofrecerlos en mi tienda online y quedaron tan lindos que tenía que mostrarlos aquí, en mi blog 😌

La vez pasada, el material que utilicé fueron trocitos de tela, pero en esta ocasión, deseaba probar con el fieltro. Cabe mencionar que éste tipo de piezas las había visto realizadas originalmente en crochet y se ven fabulosas. Pero, como aún mis conocimientos en crochet son muy básicos, tendremos que esperar para fabricar animalitos antiestrés con ese tipo de tejido 😅 En fin... el tipo de broche o gancho necesario para esta manualidad, es el que se aprecia en la fotografía. Es el ideal para la misma, ya que al abrir o cerrar, hace el sonido: "Pop", que estamos buscando 👌

Como mencioné, el material que utilicé en esta ocasión, fue el fieltro. Para ello, recorté la forma del gancho, con un poco de aumento para costura, así como traté de realizar la forma lo más parecida al personaje; en éste caso, la de Pompompurin. Intenté hacer la mención de las orejas, así como corté una pieza extra para hacer su sombrero. Con ello, pensé que sería suficiente para identificarlo.

Lo bueno del fieltro, es que es un material que no se deshilacha como ocurre con la tela, por lo que bastará con usar un yesquero por los bordes para definir la forma. Antes de armar el animalito o amigo antiestrés, tenemos que realizar esos detalles que darán "vida" al personaje, como la ropa o el rostro, sobre una de las piezas de fieltro (la principal, por así decirlo). Lo mejor es simplificar el personaje lo más que se pueda, pero siempre y cuando, sea reconocible. En el caso de Pompurin, con sólo llevar su sombrerito, basta. Para fijar las piezas, se puede usar un poquito de silicón frío, pero yo prefiero también coserlas a mano, para que quede más seguro. En el caso del rostro, con el mismo hilo podemos "dibujarlo".

Ya teniendo listos todos los detalles realizados con fieltro, hilo y hasta cintas, procedemos a unir ambas piezas con una costura a mano. Antes de cerrar, introducimos el gancho o broche y terminamos de coser. De esta forma, nuestro amigo antiestrés estará finalizado ✨

Como pueden ver, se trata de un proyecto sencillo que no requiere más que un gancho, trocitos de fieltro y la imaginación. Les dejaré las fotografías de todos los amigos antiestrés que hice en esta oportunidad, para que vean cómo hice los detalles y se inspiren en los que les gustaría realizar:

Me gustó mucho más trabajar con el fieltro, ya que considero que los detalles pequeños obtienen un acabado más "pulido". Sin mencionar que quise hacer estos personajes en específico para ver cómo quedarían al volverlos éste tipo de producto. Con respecto a eso, ya los mostré a mis conocidos y me preguntaron si no tenía a otros personajes de Sanrio, como Kuromi jaja a lo mejor acabe por realizar luego a Kuromi, Melody, Pochacco... pero por ahora, me dedicaré a otros proyectos de costura que tengo en cola; por lo menos los amigos antiestrés ya están disponibles de nuevo ✨

💚 Como se aprecia en el gif, con sólo apretar un poco, no sólo la figura se deforma, sino que hace el peculiar sonido y al volver a apretar, sonará y volverá a su forma original 💚
