Hello again, comedy connosseurs!
Did anyone notice that I didn't drop a video last week? Certainly, nobody noticed enough to complain about it. What kind of rabid fans are you guys? I mean, if you guys aren't going to hold me accountable, who will? You all need to up your game, or I'm just going to have to find myself a NEW audience!
Just kidding, you know I love you apathetic slackers, and I'm happy to present you with another video!
Now, before we start, let's all take a brief moment of silence for the end of one of my favorite venues, The Downstairs in Ithaca, NY. That little cellar bar was a comedy home for me, a place where I learned and grew, and laughed. My grief is only tempered by the knowledge that although The Downstairs may be closed, the comedy open mic will live on!
One of the things that I liked about The Downstairs was that the audio on my recordings there always came out FANTASTIC, as I'm sure you'll note, because you're all so observant (not because any of you read all this extra). Usually, the video is pretty good, too, but for this last open mic, they were having some lighting problems. I adjusted it well enough that you can see who's talking, but it was a low-effort effort, and you can see that. I make no apologies. Show me your comedy videos, if you're so much better at it!
Geez, I seem a bit saucy this morning. Maybe I should put on a mood ring, and see if I'm in a mood. Maybe I should rewrite this. Nah, we've already established that nobody reads these anyway. Forging ahead... Yukon Ho!
That last (almost) sentence was a Calvin and Hobbes reference.
Anyway...
My set went fairly well. I think you guys have seen most of it elsewhere, already, if you've been watching. I always get a pretty good crowd response in this space, and this night was no different. So, if you want to hear people actually laughing at me (with me, occassionally!) this is the video you want to see!
Thanks for your views, your votes, and your comments! I spent the wee hours of yesterday morning getting all of my comedy clips edited for posting, so if I miss another weekend release, don't be afraid to YELL at me about it!
