Does it Even Matter Anymore: Integrity

avatar

Merriam-Webster defines integrity as firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values : INCORRUPTIBILITY. Source.

As I sit here on the floor
thinking about what integrity means to me,
I get angry.
Angry about what integrity used to mean.
Angry about the way the word is thrown around.
Like the word love.
Given too freely to the undeserving.
The corruptible.
The corrupt.
Still angry.
Call it showing my integrity.

Agree that it is the fate of many words when being used as a means to manipulate and deceive. Love is just the simplest example but words like integrity, fairness and I can't think of another have always been abused in the background for far more neferaious reasons. Nice play in the end with integrity :) !tipuvote 0.25

I've had this tab open since #pypt... and I've read this probably 5 or 6 times now.

There's layers to this one, it looks inward, it looks outwards... it's universal and specific...

Thanks for sharing, it's always good to consider what "integrity" actually means to us and our environment.
