Get ready to plant vegetables to welcome summer. 🌿🌱🪴

Hello everyone, it's me again to give you an update on my gardening this year. Last time I prepared the soil for planting, I made sure to let it dry to kill any weeds, because if I planted then, those weeds would grow.

I prepared the soil for almost a week, and I was hesitant about whether to continue because the weather was getting cold and I was getting lazy. But since I'd already started, I wanted to continue. Today, I planted seeds for two plots of water spinach and one plot of kale. These are Thai vegetables. A few days ago, I tilled the soil to make it more compact before planting the seeds, but I'm not sure if they'll sprout.

After this, I'll be away for about a month, so I've asked my dad to look after the vegetable plots for me, watering them every other day. Besides the two vegetable plots, I also planted seeds of chili peppers, coriander, and Thai basil on the sides. I'm hoping they'll sprout. This time, I planted them rather spontaneously, but since I got the seeds, I wanted to plant them all. If they sprout, I'll be happy; if not, it'll be okay.

The Italian summer is very long, so if the vegetables don't sprout in time, or if they do sprout, it will be a problem. The weather was too cold. However, I'm counting on this and hoping the seeds I planted will sprout. After planting, I lightly covered the soil and then watered the vegetables.

According to the instructions, these vegetables should yield produce in about a month, but I'm not sure if these will. We'll have to wait and see. Anyway, please cheer me on! I hope everyone enjoys my post. Thank you for following and have a great day!
Great start to your gardening journey! 🌱 Your effort and determination really show—preparing the soil step by step is the way to go. Wishing you a successful planting season and healthy harvest ahead! 🌿✨
When you mention Italy I immediately think of these super cell storms that descend from the Alps and we in the Balkans find ourselves in their path.
It depends on which part you are in, but here in your area it is a warm Mediterranean climate, mostly. And it requires a lot of effort
Good luck! A month seems soon, but who knows!
Hoping your seeds grow well and your father takes good care while you’re away.
