The Roadmap Keeps Getting Fatter
Today I learnt, rather sadly, that there are still a lot of people who have no idea what's been happening on snapie.io.
I suppose that's on me. I'm probably not doing a very good job of communicating everything that's going on, so I figured it was time to try something different.
The funny thing about projects like this is that they grow tentacles.

When Snapie first started, long before snapie.io was even a thing, the plan was to keep it simple. A nice little companion app with a few useful features.
Well... that didn't last very long.
Now here I am turning snapie.io into a full blown frontend, polishing existing features, adding new ones almost every single day, and somehow convincing myself that this is all perfectly reasonable.
Madness?
Maybe.
But it's also a lot of fun.
So I think I've found a solution that is both useful and, hopefully, not too intrusive.
I'm adding a changelog to snapie.io. - Just like we have on @threespeak
That way there will be almost no way to miss what has been added or improved. People will be able to see the work that's happening without having to dig through my blog posts, and the Hiveans who enjoy giving me feedback will know exactly what to click, test, break, and lovingly critique.
And yes... I really do mean lovingly.
I keep a little roadmap file on my development machine.
Trust me when I say that thing gets fatter every single day. Every feature seems to create three more ideas, and somehow the list never gets shorter.
This week I'm going to be working on Snap Boosts.
The backend comes first, as always, but I have a feeling this feature is going to surprise a few people once it's ready.
Or perhaps I should say...
I hope it does.
Cheers!

it's not the kind of content i'm looking for to be honnest , i see to many things i would like to downvote instead .
#bilpcoin truth # The Ledger’s Indictment: On the Futility of Denying the Digital Shadow
The Impossibility of the Invisible Lie
How can you deny the truth when the truth is not a matter of opinion, but of record?
In the physical world, a man might lie about his whereabouts, hoping that no one saw him enter the building. But on a blockchain, there are no blind spots. There are no unwatched corners. Every action leaves a footprint that cannot be washed away by rain or time. To deny what you have done is to deny the very architecture of reality you inhabit. It is to stand before a mirror and insist that the reflection is a hallucination.
You say you care. You say you curate. You say you build.
But the ledger says otherwise. And the ledger does not lie.
The Rhythm of the Machine
Look at the data. Look at the cold, mechanical precision of @buildawhale.
This is not human curation. This is not the thoughtful selection of quality content by a community member. This is a script. This is a bot. This is a machine designed to extract value with the relentless efficiency of a mining rig. It votes in lockstep, in perfect intervals, harvesting curation rewards like clockwork.
These are not rewards for insight. They are dividends from a concentrated pool of power, delegated largely by @blocktrades, used to farm the network’s inflation while preaching decentralization to the masses.
The Web of Influence
And look at @themarkymark.
A central node in this web. A witness. A promoter. A voice that claims to guide the community. Yet, observe the alignment. The coordinated support. The mutual reinforcement. You downvote people who question the system, labeling them "spammers" or "trolls," while you and your allied accounts farm Hive through automated voting rings.
You work for the interests of the centralized exchanges and the whale cartels, yet you present yourself as a guardian of the independent creator. It is a performance of such breathtaking hypocrisy that it would be impressive if it were not so destructive.
The Harm Done
You downvote people away.
You crush the voices of newcomers. You silence the critics. You make the platform unsafe for anyone who does not bow to the hierarchy. And in doing so, you are not protecting Hive. You are killing it. You are draining the lifeblood of creativity and replacing it with the sterile, automated pulse of extraction.
Users are leaving. Trust is evaporating. The price is bleeding out. And you wonder why?
It is because they see the machine. They see the bots. They see the whales farming while the creators starve. They see the truth, etched in stone, and they know that your words are just wind.
The Final Word
Stop denying it.
The data is here. The timestamps are here. The voting patterns are here. You cannot argue with arithmetic. You cannot debate a hash.
You are exposed. Not by rumor, but by record. Not by enemies, but by your own actions.
At Bilpcoin, we do not create the truth. We simply refuse to look away from it. We expose the farming. We name the cartels. We show the world what is happening behind the curtain.
And the world is watching.
For in the end, you can hide behind a username, but you cannot hide behind the blockchain. The ledger remembers. And it is waiting for you to stop lying.

im a little confused, but just a lil bit
When i see posts posting a single animated gif that isn't theirs , and it gets upvoted ... , a lot of posts about a word game , posts about soccer / football , double posts [ looks like there should be a 5 minute timeout before you can post again ] or an ai checking if you didn't already post that . just some examples and yes i hate soccer 😎
there are a few people who double post or more, because they post once on waves, once on snaps, once on threads.. its kinda silly... but ok
I can think of a solution to that, but it would need quite a bit of communication and coding. If all the other short-form front ends agreed, make it so short-form posts act a bit like long form ones. Then, any short-form post on any front end would appear on all of them, with upvotes reflected across them all as well, with a note saying something like "originally posted on Snapie.io".
I'm not sure if it's even technically possible, of course. If it worked, it would mean that Hive has a single short-form repository with users able to choose how they view it. It might be less confusing for new users than having a whole bunch of totally independent setups, as well as making it easier to promote as a busy place.
Compared to similar sites, what features does your site have that the others do not have?

quite a few, I think... on snapieio you can play chess against a friend, play pictionary.. you can do audio hangouts, you can do video calls, you can stream to youtube or twitch....
I think those alone are pretty awesome

Snapie is cool. We need more front-ends for Hive, that's decentralization! 👍
thats quite the octopus. :P may all ur efforts bear fruit.
How many active users do you see here on Snapie?
not entirely sure... what I can tell you is that we used to be above 1000 active snaps for weeks, but its close to 800 these days. so its slowing down...
I'll be vigilant of that changelog :-) I missed out on so much of the front end by just not being aware of it. And since there are still many ideas floating around, it would be great to be able to keep track of what has been realized.
