ART EXPLOSION WEEK 34: Theme EROTICA / 25 STEEM in prizes!

Here we are again folks, ART EXPLOSION, THIS IS WEEK 34! The theme this week is EROTICA! This is fairly open ended so interpret this as you please, be creative and surprise us! Once again we have a special sponsor and guest judge: @vachemorte! The total prize pool this week is 25 steem!

Definition:

Erotic art covers any artistic work that is intended to evoke erotic arousal or that depicts scenes of love-making. It includes drawings, engravings, films, music, paintings, photographs, and sculptures

In addition, a distinction is often made between erotic art and pornography (which also depicts scenes of love-making and is intended to evoke erotic arousal, but is not usually considered fine art). The distinction may lie in intent and message; erotic art would be items intended as pieces of art, encapturing formal elements of art, and drawing on other historical artworks.

When I created it, I wanted to delve deeply into the homoerotic nature of the elderly and the taboos that surround their stereotyped sexual behaviors.

Just kidding... It's a bunch of old guys sucking each other off that I ran through a filter.

It's a photo on my acrylic that I messed with a little. My feeling about it is: sensuality and sexual energy come from within, your self naked and complete, yet as a highly sexual woman there is a strong outside energetic force which I am open too, also just barely, and calmy shy away from. I havent painted a ton but most have some sexual element, some are more simple and sweet ❤

This contest makes me uneasy especially after reading the rules. I really thought the entries would lean on the side of pornographe then erotica art. Which much be a very subjective line to cross. Nonetheless, after reviewing some of the entries I’m relieved to see I was somewhat wrong 😅. I am curious on your thoughts on a certain matter. When should an artist consider tagging their “art work” nsfw?

I myself kind draw the line at genatalia, I think nipples in an artistic context shouldn't be much to worry about, I mean we see male nipples all the time. It is very subjective though!
