Well! Here we are again! I hope you are all having a good time and enjoying your life.
I for one am trying daily to make things as happy as possible. That's quite a goal, huh? 😄
Working, playing in my art and whatever else comes along. I would love to only play in my art and do whatever else comes along, but it doesn't pay as well.

My Mom's 92nd birthday is next Thursday. She is still in good spirits (or pretends to be) and taking care of herself, but her health is declining a bit and her doctors don't really seem to know why. They've done some tests for this and that and scratched their heads when nothing shows. Her primary said they didn't know what else to check for. I told her it was time for a new doctor since this one had run out of ideas. I thought about making an appointment with her doctor just to go slap her and check to see if her medical degree is real.... LOL.... not really, but you know, it's my Mom and I think there are other things they could check for. I know when you get in your middle or late 70s, the medical industry doesn't want to help you that much anymore or that is what I am seeing or hearing from different directions, so you know it is an industry thing and not just an individual provider's decision.
I just think if someone has been really healthy and has taken care of themselves, then the medical folks shouldn't just stop pursuing a reason. Anyway.... that is what I am wondering, if her age is keeping them from looking for anything else.
But for now, we are going to still enjoy all the good times we can get. Family...

I bought a rolling library cart to put my collage books on. I thought it was a fine idea as I could park it on the other side of my art table and since my books wouldn't fill it up, I could use it to hold other supplies and art tools.
It got here and was HEAVY and I had to put it together. It said it was best to have two people, but I did it by myself. It was bigger than I thought and made me laugh, but I cleared my art table and built most of it there as getting up and down out of the floor was out of the question. I did it all but the top shelf on the table and then oh-so-carefully slid it down to the floor to put the last shelf on. It went well for one person doing a suggested two person job. Obviously the person that made that recommendation didn't know me. 😊 It used to be faster when companies wrote out what you should do, but now they just draw pictures with arrows because too many people can't read anymore. I can read though and I wish they would put both options. I mean, you have parts where 3 types of pieces look really similar so all the drawings look the same and they are A & B & C.....but.... you can't tell the photos apart and of course they have not put the little A,B,C, stickers on the pieces either.....but.... I still got it together. Heffers !

It turns out I decided I loved it but since it was bigger than I pictured, maybe I would keep it in my backroom of which there was no space. This caused me to have to clear a side of the room and that caused me to have to scatter all the things that were there and start organizing again. I would complain if all of that hadn't needed to be addressed for a good while. In the end, I have made lots of progress on that. I'm not finished yet on the organizing, but I can see the end. It helped that we have run out of work a couple hours before the end of the work day for the last two days, so while I was hovering in my work desk area till 5 o'clock, I have been pulling baskets or boxes of "things" over and working to resolve what is in them. Funny how that has worked out, but all of these things have worked together.
Oddable Mention (you know, like honorable mention, only Odd)
Although it is true that this crazy art'ish type thing wasn't made in seriousness and it is really one hot mess, there was something about it I still liked, so I kept it. It's ok to make a face when you see it. I won't be offended.

Speaking of odd things, sometime back someone decided to steal all my witness votes, that's right, 0 is what my account shows. I don't like it either and there is no valid excuse that would make me think it was a right thing to do. Sure, I still had maybe 3 slots open and do you know why that was? Because I had not come across three more that gave me reason to vote for them. Why would anyone want me to just throw out 3 more votes on people I never heard of or interacted with? Is that an intelligent thing to do? I think not. The votes I had made over the years were for those that interacted with me at some point or others who I saw do good things or others that my Hive friends recommended. They were intentional and with reason. Now of course, I can't remember every one I chose and why, so I can't go and put them all back.
Fiddle-Dee-Dee! A Pox on whoever decided it was a good idea to steal my witness votes. 💩
But for everyone else, I still love you. 💛

Thank you! @brumest I truly appreciate your kind support. :)
Does your mum still get out and about? One of my neighbours is 93. He still drives and walks around the village most days. I've noticed people who are in their 80s and 90s have one thing in common and that's they all love walking. This is why I keep walking around aimlessly! 😁
My Mom had been doing amazingly great, strong active, spry and living alone. In the last couple of years, she has had some issues where although she eats, she is slowly losing weight. Her doctors have done some tests and cannot find any reason so they say. I want them to do more tests. It makes no sense that someone strong and spry, no matter the age, just starts disappearing for no findable reason..... so... I'm concerned. She still gets out, but no more long walks.
Keep walking!
Thanks for stopping over.
Yes, insist on more tests. I was just talking to a friend of mine - we agreed if doctor's do tests and can't find anything, they think their job is done. Don't give up.
Greetings Jacey,
Lovely to hear from you.
Do hope you are able to find someone who sees your Mum as a person. Rare I think.
Lovely artwork....thank you for bringing it our way...so enjoyed seeing what you are up to. The yellow in each of these pieces is stunning!
Happy to hear you persevered in getting the book cart together...Well done!
Kind Regards,

Hi!
For some reason, which I am sure is money, once you get a certain age they seem to hold back. They check the easy things and small things, then give up. I'm sure at 92, if they found cancer or something as devastating, they would not recommend chemo which is so harsh to a body and some of that is understandable, but to stop looking before there is an answer just seems wrong.
I do love yellow!
Thank you so much for coming over. I appreciate it.
Fair play to you for building the cart single-handedly. I’m hopeless without written instructions. Those little pictures might as well be hieroglyphics.
Sorry to hear about your mom. I do hope you can persuade her doctors to try a bit harder.
I like putting things together and I don't mind reading some instructions first.... if there is some. 🙄 Sheesh !
It's so crazy about Mom. You know you see those folks who really take care of themselves and stay active and keep good minds and it is just evil not to consider that when deciding how far to go. I understand if someone is bedridden and don't know where they are, if you don't get aggressive on some things. Someone healthy and of sound mind though, they should not let their age make the providers hold back.
Crazy world!
