SIAFUND is the recipient of 3.9% of all successful storage contract payouts using Sia.

Siafund is a separately traded cryptocurrency from Siacoin. Siafund is limited to 10000 units which are all in existence already.
As of today, April 22 2017, "Sia's parent company, Nebulous Inc., holds 8835 of these Siafunds."
The only places you can find Siafund to buy or sell currently are: #siafunds Slack channel or Bisq (fka: BitSquare).
Past prices are otherwise scattered across the internet on varies forum postings.

I am a big fan of sia. This is an interesting variation of traditional ico funding. i am interested to learn more. thanks for this info.

NOTE: Bisq price ceiling appears now to be increased greater than 3 BTC.
It looks quiet for Siafund trading for the last couple weeks. Likely in some degree due to uncertainty regarding upcoming Bitcoin Cash fork occurring.
Currently, the offer book is empty.
Per Sia wiki, Nebulous Inc, still holds 8835 SiaFund units. It would be reassuring if there was a way (via explorer, private key signature, etc) to publicly verify this information.
