I'll do it tomorrow...

This is the 2nd work for the series that I'm working on (which I don't have a name yet). The first one was Just Five More Minutes.

This was the study that I did for this. I really love the crimson and magentas but this was looser than the other studies of the same subject. When I had to paint it on canvas, I had to decide what colors to use on some parts without it looking confusing.

I started putting the initial colors that I have in mind. I like working in a lot of layers since I hate having a thin layer of paint between the gesso and the final output lol.

I also put those color drippy early on so some of them can be seen underneath different colors. :D

I slowly added magenta, quinacridone crimson, and quinacridone magenta for the spotlight of this work, le pants. I love how you can layer these magentas because they're transparent.

After a lot of layers on that blanket on the right side, I think I kinda settled on that color and how light it's going to be. I don't want it to look too dark that it blends on the pants so I had to make it light like that.
I like the flesh tones of this painting which is also quite symbolic but I don't wanna explain it for now. XD

There's more contrast to it now and more layers of the dripz.

Making decisions is easier now for me just because I am consistent with painting. It's like the flow is good and everything becomes easier. In my previous painting, it took me quite a long time to decide on minuscule things even though I can just cover them up with another layer of paint if I didn't like it.

I like how you're kind of procrastinating on a name for a series which seems to be about procrastination XD And the soul sucking is vaguely disturbing O_O XD
True XD I had a series too before about procrastination and daydreaming... I didn't finish it hahah.
I'm glad you said that as I would like to show how this piece of technology is sucking our creativity, motivation, making genZs depressed, etc etc. Not good to be stuck on it all the time.
That is simultaneously ironic and on point XD
