On some advice from @tad.galahad I downloaded a Qortal node on a spare linux laptop. I just uploaded the UI and created a user account. Looks like I can transfer either LTC or BTC right into my Qortal user client in order to trade for QORT and start registering some swell names and start building a website...
Yes, you can apparently build a website on this distributed network that can be reached independently of the DNS scam.
I am going to experiment with Qortal and give my honest feedback. I will probably still dabble in ICP and closely watch Daniel Larimer and his merry band of Freedom Engineers building psibase too. I think that psibase will end up being the best technology but who's going to launch it?
So the meat of this blog over the next month will be exploring and comparing these 3 projects and anymore similar ones that I am introduced to.

i joined quite a few Fractally meetings about a year or so ago, but gave up as i had fingers in too many pies. i like Dans work though. Is psibase anything to do with Fractally?

Cool. Yes psibase is the open source blockchain software that spun out of creating Fractally. I was asking the psibase / fractally team what their software capabilities are and it does allow for privacy and for users to run their own nodes.
i see. Are the fractally meetings going on still. i looked psibase up and notice Dan talked about medical stuff a bit & wondered if a DAO has been started for that yet. Any DAO's going on psibase yet? Presumably fractally.
