Where possible, Hive Keeper favors direct on-chain interactions:

• Prices → direct from Coingecko API (no proxy layer)

No intermediary services. No escrow layer.

Hive Keeper intentionally keeps scope narrow by avoiding features that require additional infrastructure or complexity:

🧠 Unified Extension Protocol (window.hive)

One of the key improvements introduced with Hive Keeper is a step toward standardization.

Today, different Hive wallets expose different globals:

• window.hive_keychain

• window.peakvault

• etc.

This creates additional work for developers.

✅ Hive Keeper introduces:

window.hive - a unified wallet/extension interface

• Shared API namespace across wallets

• Standard methods (requestBroadcast, requestTransfer, etc.)

• Identity flags (isKeeper, isKeychain, isVault)

• Support for multiple wallets via provider registry

• Backward compatibility with existing integrations

Inspired by similar standards in other ecosystems, this approach aims to improve:

Hive Keeper implements this today, with the intention to collaborate and explore broader ecosystem adoption over time. We have submitted PR to both Keychain and Vault extensions, hope they will accept unified approach and make easier integration for dapp developers.
