My Experience in the Place Where I Live - Villa de Cura - San Francisco

Greetings, friends of Hive and @weekendexperiences. Today, I am once again participating in the initiative proposed by @galenkp, in which he presents us with several topics to choose from. I will select one and share my experience, as well as learn about the opinions of other users within Hive.

It should be noted that I am from Venezuela and was born in Villa de Cura, but I have lived most of my life in a town called San Francisco de Asís, which belongs to the municipality of Zamora, Aragua state. I lived there for more than thirty years and have never been ashamed to say that I come from this beautiful town, which is famous for its lively celebrations of the feast day of its patron saint, St. Francis of Assisi, on 4 October.

Also, when I was younger, I participated in various marathon competitions and had a uniform that said "San Francisco de Asís" on the back. In this way, I represented my town many times and I feel proud. When the runners knew me as San Francisco de Asís, I was not ashamed to say that I am from this town, which was formerly called Garabato, due to the graphic shape of the map of this locality.

I currently live in Villa de Cura, which is the capital of the municipality of Zamora. It is half an hour from San Francisco de Asis, which is also a town, but larger, with a variety of shops. One of the things I liked from the beginning was that I discovered new trails that I use for my hiking practice. I moved to Villa de Cura in 2008 when I got tired of my old life. My family is here, and I feel like a Villacurano myself. This town is very famous for the Holy Sepulchre, where during Holy Week we receive visitors from different parts of the country who come to make their promises.

I am proud to live in Villa de Cura, where my workplace is very close to my home and I have felt comfortable during all the years I have been in this town.

I hope you liked it, see you in a next post.

It's great that you feel this way and feel pride in the place, both where you come from and where you live now. Well done!
