Pulling my PUD

Another HPUD. And this one probably deserves a raised eyebrow.

I powered up a substantial amount today, which feels almost absurd given the current mood around Hive. Price is down. Morale is shaky. Frustration around DHF spending is real and not without reason. A lot of people I respect are openly questioning where things are headed, and honestly, so am I.

So let’s get this out of the way early. I might be an idiot. But I’m called Buttcoins, so what can you expect?!

From a purely rational, short term perspective, locking up more Hive right now is hard to justify. There are easier places to park value. Quieter places. Less emotionally taxing places. Hive, lately, has had the Debbie downer syndrome. It has felt messy, insular, bang my head against the wall and say ouch, then do it again, ouch… so comfortable with patterns that clearly are not producing the results many of us hoped for.

And yet, here I am, powering up anyway.

Not because I am thrilled with how everything is being run. Not because I think criticism of DHF spending should stop. Quite the opposite. A lot of that criticism is healthy and overdue. Ignoring it would be far more dangerous than engaging with it.

But powering down and checking out does not fix any of that. It just narrows the room. If the people who care, who question, who push back, quietly reduce their stake and drift off, then the future of Hive is left in fewer hands, not better ones.

Powering up right now is not optimism. It is stubborn commitment.

It is saying that if this thing is going to improve, I want to be part of the group that stayed uncomfortable long enough to help push it there. Stake is leverage. Stake is voice. Stake is responsibility. If I am going to argue for better stewardship, better accountability, and better long term thinking, I should be willing to keep my weight on the table while doing so.

That does not mean loyalty without limits. It means refusing to confuse frustration with indifference. Hive does not need fewer people who care. It needs more people who care enough to stay engaged even when the doldrums hit, even when it is not profitable, and not validating.

So yes, I powered up.

Call it stubborn. Call it misguided. Call it bad timing.

For now, I am still here, and I am not done pushing.

I powered up 500+ Hive and I am staking every Hive I get, I am here until the lights go out or we get really high prices like $10+
So most likely I will be here for a very long time :) ...
