The Temples of Koh Ker

Siem Reap,Cambodia

The temples of Angkor Wat are very well known, what not too many people know however is that there are many more ruins left over from the ancient Khmer empire throughout Cambodia. This Pyramid shaped temple at Koh Ker is another amazing remanence of this great empire. Besides this, at almost a 2-hour ride outside of Siem Reap, Koh Ker is a great place to avoid the crowds!

Great shot! It's really amazing that these temples are still standing after so many years.

wow that is a super cool building - and I love the colour scheme of the overall picture. I would've liked to see a more head on target angle, but I'm a sucker for symmetry, lol! Nice work!

Awesome temple! I've always wanted to visit Cambodia to see Angkor Wat but it looks like this is a great place to visit as well.
